Federer also has the potential of becoming the longest top ranked player. The only other players with longer records than his as No. 1 (but not consecutively) are John McEnroe (170 weeks), Ivan Lendl (268 weeks), Connors (268 weeks) and Pete Sampras (270 weeks).
